Meet G Boutique
“G Boutique is a concept developed by women, for women. G is a girlfriend thing! After talking to girlfriends about our frustrations at all of the sex stores being geared towards men, we decided to change the scene in Chicago. We were tired of going to 3 or 4 different stores to plan one evening of romance. We wanted to present beautiful lingerie and have erotica right there with it. We wanted a boutique where women were available to help us make choices and plan our romantic escapades. So in 2002 we created ‘G’ a place where you can feel comfortable shopping for fabulous lingerie, sex toys, massage oils, lubricants, whips, cuffs and more.
We built G for women. What we didn’t realize was how much men would love our little store. We learned that men love to get a women’s opinion when shopping for a surprise treat for their partner. We now have a loyal following of some of the greatest guys in Chicago.

Favorite Cosabella collection and why ?
We love so many Cosabella styles. Never Say Never is a mainstay here. The Racie and Foxie are our best sellers. The Racie because we all wear them all the time and the Foxie because it’s the perfect chemise. Stretch lace gives enough support and shape for any figure. Also, it’s a sexy holiday gift in black or a fashion color and the perfect bridal solution in light blue or white
Cosabella offers so many colors, which is your favorite?
Our favorite color changes with every season. Right now Purple Sky is rocking our world.
You’ve been a customer for so long, have any funny Cosabella memories?
The first time we purchased Cosabella was before we opened, about 14 years ago. The rep came to Kari’s house to show us the line. She was soo patient with two women who had no idea how to buy for a retail store. Since then, we have had 2 more incredible Cosabella reps. We love the product but what’s really special about Cosabella is the wonderful reps who have supported us from the beginning and continue to work side by side with us building the Cosabella and G boutique brand.
Meet the Team:
Cheryl (co-owner) is a Chicago native and lived in Bucktown for 15 years before opening G Boutique. She was raised around beautiful lingerie and very funny people. After spending the first part of her working life in improvisational comedy at Chicago’s famous Second City, she switched to the lingerie scene, added a little erotica and opened G Boutique.
Lauren (manager) is an Illinois native and happy to be in the big city after growing up around corn and deer. Lauren is working on designing her own clothing line influenced by her love of travel, animals, and nature. Don’t tell…but Lauren doesn’t go a day without watching at least one funny animal video.
Mia (associate) grew up a military brat but has made Chicago her home. When she isn’t helping customers make informed choices, Mia is a freelance graphic designer that nurtures her love for roller derby. She coaches a junior league and participates whenever she has the chance. Mia says she likes everything nerdy, but we think she is on trend with her love of cosplay, sci-fi and comics.
Sarah (associate) the newest member of the team, grew up in rural Wisconsin but has always been a big city girl at heart. Sarah is passionate about fashion – especially vintage. Check out her Etsy site, Aphrodite’s Vintage, where she sells vintage clothing and accessories.
