Summer Essentials: The Bralette

Ahhh the bralette, all the best parts of a sports bra with all the prettiness of a fashion bra in one item.

They are the comfortable, casual, and a no fuss alternative to the bra- the athleisure of unmentionables.

Bralettes have been having a moment over that past few seasons.  Coming out from the shadow of their big sister the underwire bra. Bralettes are not only comfortable they also contain design elements that are so pretty it doesn’t matter if they peek through your clothing — many times, that’s the point of a bralette.

Wear them over a t-shirt, with a sheer top, under a cut-up or low cut tee, peeking out of a tank or even go full-on Kardashian and wear them as a top.

Easy to wear, ridiculously comfortable, uber chic and adept at solving fashion dilemmas, the bralette is one of the hottest trends out there but, how do you choose the right one for you -after all not all breasts are created equally!

There is often a pretty big hurdle when it comes to bralettes- most of them are built for smaller chested gals- A-B cups, so when those of us over a size B head to the department store and try to shove ourselves into a one-size-fits-all  bralette it usually results in us getting stuck in it in some sort of contortionist position and having to call a sales associate to liberate us from the lace prison.

The second bralette dilemma is finding one that gives just the right amount of support.

Don’t fear my bralette loving fashionistas of all sizes!  There is always a solution.  I went straight to the undergarment masters, Cosabella, to find you the PERFECT bralette for your needs, size and shape.
